Earl Simmons (December 18, 1970 from December 18, 1970 until April 9 2021) who was professionally known as DMX, was an American rapper and actor. His debut album It's Hot and Dark was released in 1998 to great critical and commercial success. It sold over 251,000 copies within its first week. [5][65][6] DMX released his top-selling album, ... And Then There Was X in 1999. The album included the hit single "Party Up (Up in Here)". His singles "Where the Hood At?" and "X Gon Give It to Ya?" in 2003 were also a commercial success. and "X I'm Going to Give It To Ya" were also commercially successful. He was the first artist to have an album debut at No.1 five times in consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 charts. Seven times DMX sold more than 74 millions albums across the globe. 8 DMX was featured in films such as Belly, Romeo Must Die and Exit Wounds.
