Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Sri Lanka. She is an actress, former model, who has primarily worked in the Indian film industry. In 2006, her Miss Sri Lanka Universe title was also won by her. Fernandez has Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial heritage, spent most of her childhood in Bahrain. After earning a mass communication degree from University of Sydney, she spent time in Sri Lanka as a television reporter for some time before beginning to enter the world of modeling. In 2006 she made her debut as Miss Universe and became one the most popular models in Sri Lanka. As of 2009, on her professional tour to India she landed the part as Jasmine in Sujoy Ghosh's film 'Aladin'. She had her breakthrough during 2011, when she played the lead female in Murder 2. The film received commercial and critical hit, leading to a thriving profession for Fernandez. Since then, she's appeared in movies like Housefull 2 or 3, Race 2, Definition of Fear and Judwaa 2 She has won multiple prizes and has been a brand ambassador of several international companies. She is a committed social activist who has various charity and causes.
