Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28 in 1967) was an American performer and actress. She started her acting career when she was as a teenager. Her best-known character was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as for her role as the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. There are three of her siblings. As a teenager, she sang in nightclubs, sneaking out of the family home to perform. Kari Samantha Wuhrer, an American model and actress was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, on April 28, 1967. Her birth date was April 28th, 1967 in Brookfield, Connecticut. Her father is an German American policeman and a salesperson for autos. Kari was born in an extended family with four children. She sang in nightclubs as teens, sneaking out of the house to sing. Kari began acting at the Wooster school aged 13 before going on to study drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the renowned Uta Hagen. Kari began her journey into acting when she was 13 years old, and received her first big break in 1987 when she appeared on MTV Remote Control.
